THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, Pakistan Railway Campus is seeking a qualified, dedicated and passionate Librarian to join our team.

Job Overview

  • Position: Librarian 

  • Location: Karachi (serving surrounding regions)

  • Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruction and Teaching: Teach students how to find, evaluate, and use information effectively, including how to spot reliable sources and navigate digital tools.

  • Teacher Collaboration: Partner with educators to co-teach lessons, build resource collections that align with the curriculum, and supply supplemental materials for class projects.

  • Collection Management: Select, organize, and maintain books, e-books, and digital databases to keep the library current and age-appropriate.

  • Reading Promotion: Foster a school-wide reading culture by hosting story times, book checkouts, and reading incentive programs.

  • Administration and Tech Support: Oversee daily library operations, manage budgets, and help troubleshoot educational technology or media equipment.

Requirements:

  • Degree: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Library or a B.Ed/related field.

  • Experience: Relevant teaching experience is preferred.

  • Skills: Strong communication & interpersonal skills and a passion for student development.
